Decide on the size of the sim card you need.
If you are unsure about the type of sim card you will need, tryÂ locating the type of sim card in your instruction manual or the manufacture website.
You can always use a sim adapter if you choose the wrong size and you need to go bigger. These can be picked up free from your local Three store. However if you need to reduce the size of your sim, your best option is to call customer services on 333 from an existing Three phone, 0333 300 3333 from a landline or mobile or by going into a Three store. Note, only the account holder will be able to replace the sim in store. Three do not charge for this service in store. Avoiding cutting or trimming the size of the sim.

How many minutes do you need.
Knowing how many minutes you are going to need can be often quiet tricky as you don’t want to have the fear of running up call charges for running out of minutes. On Three you have the benefit of controlling your spend, meaning you can cap your minute usage in a number of ways. You can block out of bundle calls, premium rate calls or both. If you are currently on a Pay Monthly plan, then looking out a couple of your existing bills to get an idea of what you may need. If you are still unsure, try to match a plan with your budget. If you start on a lower minute plan you can always move to a higher minute plan during the contract, however note that on Three this would not take effect until your next Bill Cycle.
How much data do you need.
Being on Three means you have access to the most reliable and consistentÂ data experience of all UK customers. So like your minutes, you can get an idea of what your data usage is currently by looking at your existing bill. Keeping control of your data spend is automatically controlled when you are on Three. All data plans are capped meaning you won’t be able to run up a bill and you have complete control. But if you sign up to a plan and realise you’re just using more data on the go, either through your handset or as a personal hotspot, you can simply purchase a £5 add on to get double your data for the rest of your bill cycle using My3. Using it often and you may find it is cheaper to change your tariff up to make a saving long term.
