North Wales Police force receive a shock bill after an offender on bail was mistakenly given a Contract Sim instead of a Pay as you Go sim and run a bill up to the tune of £45,000.

The Orange bill, run up over 3 months, was said to be due to high data charges for “video/music streaming” and various other “high-data volume internet applications”.

Although it does require you to be nicked in the first place, the force has said it has “since improved our procedures to ensure that it can’t happen again” when the incident first came to light back in 2014.

Maybe its time the force looks into an All-you-can-eat data package from Three or a 20GB sim on EE.
