iD mobile, the virtual network operator by Dixons Carphone have introduced data roll over.
What this means is that if you have had a less than productive month socialising and streaming online through 3G and 4G, the data now carries over to the following month. Its to benefit new and existing customers on 12 and 24 contract plans.
The MVNO powered by Three believes that the demand is there to add to its other benefits such as 12 month phone contracts and roaming at no extra charge, similar to Feel at Home.
Although not a first, rival MVNO FreedomPop (also powered by Three) launched its USA service in the UK last year offering customers the chance to roll over their data for a small fee each month. But with reports of poor customer service by FreedomPop, iD mobile stands in better shape with its support network of over 700 Carphone Warehouse stores customers can walk into vs the online only experience of the US network.
