Sony will be releasing its hotly anticipated VR headset in time for Christmas at a cool £349.
The PlayStation VR will arrive at the end of October months after HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR. The headset which sits in the middle for pricing will feature an OLED screen that displays images at 120Hz as well as 3D audio. PlayStation VR also features a lightweight design and an adjustable headband to let you play with ease. It also in our opinion looks the coolest!
“To make sure that we are able to prepare and deliver enough units of PS VR and a variety of software titles to consumers worldwide, we have decided to launch PS VR in October 2016,” he said. “For those who are looking forward to its launch, we would like to thank everyone for their patience and continued support,” said Andrew House, president and global chief executive of Sony.
On launch Sony expect over 50 gaming titles to come with the device. Unlike the HTC and Oculus versions though, PlayStation VR does not need an expensive PC setup but instead a more reasonably priced PlayStation 4.
