So will.i.am and Three have been stirring the curious minds of Twitter the last 48 hours on a new product to be launched exclusively in the UK.
dial is a smartwatch with a twist. What makes the dial different from the current popular smartwatches such as the Sony Smartwatch 3 and Apple Watch is that it will work completely independently of your phone with its own dedicated sim.
Now you may think it’s pointless having a separate sim in a watch with less functionality than a phone. However the tech being developed will allow you to take your dial on the go with exactly the same number as on your phone. Great if you are going for a jog and don’t want to carry your phone with you but still want to take calls and text and also make them too.
The dial is also fully voice controlled, directly through the dial or through an included Bluetooth headset.
Battery life times are unavailable yet as well a hands on review of the product. Rumoured pricing if likely to be around £20 a month with no upfront charge for the dial, but we will keep you posted.
